David has been part of the pension investment consulting world since the late 1980s, which is long enough to have witnessed many changes and developments in the industry. Some good, some not so!
Dave has spent his career making sure the numbers add up and the rules are followed — not always the fun jobs, but definitely the important ones. As CFO & Chief Compliance Officer of Gatemore Capital Management, he juggles finance, operations, and compliance (plus the titles SMF16 and SMF17), which basically mean “he’s the one the regulators call”. He has managed those roles for 9 and 4 years respectively — proof of both stamina and patience.

Clare kicked off her career in financial services before moving to Eagle Star’s actuarial department in 1990 — a world of year-end valuations and pension scheme admin (not exactly the stuff of Hollywood, but vital nonetheless).
A further four people are involved in the building, development and upkeep of our technology platform. Between them they have over 100 years of experience, having built insurance, administration and consultant models across financial service businesses.
